A tonic water with a fizz to rival champagne, with hints of turmeric, mint, orange, and pepper: in late 2018, the Gekko Group and Aqua Monaco’s shared passion for the art of cooking and good drinks culminated in the birth of Gekko Monaco Tonic Water. For the cinchona bark, the founders of Aqua Monaco boarded a plane to South America to meet the farmers in person and see for themselves where the ingredients come from.
This tonic water was conceived by the Gekko Group bar chefs and Aqua Monaco, building a bridge between the culinary cultures of Frankfurt and Munich. “We had been wondering for a while already whether there was any way for us to use our famous courage and creativity to create something that suits us better than ordinary tonic waters. Since 2019, Gekko Monaco has exclusively been served in Gekko Group hotels and restaurants, including the Roomers Hotel in Munich.
