I led with a cowboy called Cody - he had a very real presence about him - not dissimilar to the badass character “Rip Wheeler” in Taylor Sheridan’s excellent melodrama Yellowstone

There were a handful of customers in the club and I have no idea why my unconscious mind was taking me here - it was certainly not a place known to me

Other filmmakers may prefer a more freewheeling approach and to let the magic happen spontaneously
