18th Century Hand Clasp Chain Necklace clip on earrings which was something of aDATE: Georgian, c. 1780 A remarkable 18th century chain necklace featuring an ornate hand clasp. With long, slender fingers, and beautifully rendered fingernail detailing, the hand wears an emerald ring on the index finger (jewellery wearing jewellery), and a three dimensional flower at the cuff. The chain is 22. 5 inches long and comprises round belcher links adorned with a pattern made up of tiny gold dots. Made circa 1780, it's crafted in 12 karat
