Rugs from this city are extremely durable, and are made with soft local lamb's wool that has a beautiful shine like silk. The colours are often a pale rust red or beige on a dark blue background with patterns that usually have a large medallion in the centre and smaller, nomadic inspired motifs surrounding it.
