It is situated on the left of the sarcophagus of the tomb of Giuliano de Medisi. Unlike the Day, Night is portrayed as a giantess with her features clearly carved in marble and her body curved in an uneasy way which Michelangelo thinks that Medici has not earned a peaceful uninterrupted rest.
