Aesthetic Black Polychrome Transferware English Plate Pheasants Cherry Blossoms Flowers brown plate This is truly an excellentCirca 1908 1925 From the Colonial Pottery located on the border of two of the Staffordshire towns, Stoke and Fenton, is this plate depicting a pheasant amidst cherry blossoms done in black transfer from the Aesthetic Movement period. The plate was made by F. Winkle and Co. who operated the Colonial Pottery at Whieldon Road in Stoke on Trent from about 1888 1931.
