Nepenthes truncata x ovata, CAR-0119 Drosera Native to Mt
Description
Native to Mt
Much of the seed fell as it was harvested which have subsequently produced these seedlings
Nepenthes bellii hybrids are some of our favorites because they keep the smaller stature of belllii but inherit characteristics from the male parent
it's clearly a distinct population from the (c) form so we expect some exceptional vigor since this is a cross between plants from distinct populations
It certainly could become a cornerstone to any breeding program and would likely pass on its extremely squat pitcher shape
Nepenthes truncata x ovata, CAR-0119 Drosera Native to MtNepenthes truncata x ovata, CAR 0119. We crossed our truncata (d) Red Flush with a seed grown Nepenthes ovata to re make this cross. The pitchers start out striped and iridescent orange yellow. Over time, the whole pitcher darkens to copper while retaining its striping. It has a strong growth habit and grows well even our lowland greenhouse but probably prefers intermediate conditions the most. All plants are individuals grown from seed. Our sizing
