Jar with Koala by Nancy Briggs Artist_Karen and Stephen Steininger a philosophy he called organicThis carved lidded jar is made of red earthenware clay and lined with a metallic black liner glaze. The rich, matte surface features green leaves that are accented with a white slip and layered underglazes. A sweet little koala sits on top of the jar. Dimensions: approximately 7. 5 tall x 4. 25" in diameter. Handmade by Nancy Briggs of Des Moines, Iowa. My wheel thrown pottery currently is made of red earthenware clay accented with a white slip, under
