Wedgewood Brooch Jade The intertwining snakes have rubyCharming Victorian 3 colour rectangular Jasperware Wedgewood brooch, set in 18ct gold symbolising the classical scene "Sacrifice to Hymen" depicting four winged putti, one leading a goat by the horns towards a sacrificial altar. John Flaxman modelled the original scene after an engraving by Bartolozzi in 1778. This piece was made circa 1840 60 Measurements: 4. 8cm x 3. 6cm
