The whole item is lacquered brass which means it will never need to be cleaned or tarnish. The lid is decorated with beautiful guilloche engraving. The blank central circular cartouche forms the middle of the flower and petals radiate out in a stylish design. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror is excellent & it gives a perfect reflection. The top of the lipstick holder is
