Plants achieve large sizes and have gorgeous, ruffled leaves on elongated petioles. The species was previously referred to salgarense but that name is now deprecated. The plant comes from intermediate elevations in nature but it's been reported to tolerate warm conditions. It's a heavy feeder and appreciates a well drained soil mixture like most aroid species.
