The term Axinite comes from the ax head shape which is typical of these crystals. This piece has a tiny Quartz point sticking out from one side. Pleochroism is a colour change when exposed to LED lighting this batch of Axinite displays cream, brown, orange, yellow, amber, plum, red, and violet colours. Specimen measures approx. 4cm
