Fine Antique Sterling Silver Gilt Vinaigrette Francis Clarke Birmingham 1841 Decorative Arts housed in a blue hardwoodA very early Victorian sterling silver gilt viniagrette by Francis Clarke, Birmingham, 1841. This very nice vinaigrette is in fine condition with an engine turned top, engraved with a shield shaped vacant cartouche (no monogram),the back of the case also with 'rope twist' engine turned decoration. The hinged lid with a floral clasp enclosing an interior engraved gilt hinged cover, to receive a sponge that would hold a fragrance as an antidote to the
