It was aged for 10 months in small oak barrels and offers dark, bitter sweet plum and mulberry fruit aromas combined with some vanilla and a hint of baking spice from the time in barrel. The mouthfeel is both savory with a hint of nuttiness and fine grained tannin, a touch of mild sweetness to balance things out. This is a great choice for meaty dishes
