All our Blue Mogganer Fair isles are named after our local Fishing towns in North East Scotland

it is a true replica of the traditional garments Scottish Mariners would have worn in the extremely harsh North Sea

So we enlisted the authentically vintage marine knitting know-how of Harley of Scotland to help us evoke this look and we are truly delighted with the results

Our Diver sweater is inspired by the local Peterhead convict-labourers who built our South Harbour Breakwater in the early 1900’s

Blue Mogganer Whaler Rolled Neck Chunky Sweater Harley of Scotland The WhalerThe Whaler Thankfully Whaling is now banned in Britain and our town of Peterhead where it was the main industry before fishing took over. Peterhead Whaleships would travel from the North Sea to the Arctic, enduring the most severe of cold fronts, sea ice and treacherous waters. Inspired by the journey rather than the process of these hardy, industrial voyages, we have developed the Whaler sweater influenced by the clothing worn by these historical
