This chest is of very unusual large size, the lift up lid enclosing a substantial storage area, the front of the coffer with four deeply carved panels and an engraved brass escutcheon lock plate above and the carved initials "C M". The base of the coffer is fitted with two long drawers, each side of the coffer with two corresponding panels, the chest is raised
