1950s Black Silk Dress 1940_suit Dress is cut on the1950s black silk (I believe, I did not test) dress in a classic New Look silhouette. Fabric is lightweight but opaque and features a slight slub. Bodice has 3 4 dolman sleeves with an underarm gusset for ease of movement. Neckline is scalloped and dress closes down the front with a snaps, a hook and eye and a single lucite button. The skirt is full, releasing from inverted pleats at the waist. Original belt is present. An understated but very elegant
