Victorian Ivory Silk Gown 40s tulle petticoat we saw a tiny spotCirca late 1890s, likely close to 1899. The style and color of this gown lead me to believe it was a wedding dress, but of course I cannot be entirely certain. It is also in such excellent condition, as a dress worn only once would be. The dress would have almost certainly had a high collar sewn into the bodice, and there is evidence of the stitching from where this was removed. Bodice is boned and lined with cotton. Hook and eye closures down the
