Long Petticoat Skirt With Ruffle - Boho Style - S 1950s bridal wear still stitched with the originalLong half petticoat has the boho look of an antique petticoat although I believe it was made later. Lower calf length petticoat is gathered to a waistband and has a 9. 5 cm (3. 75") hem ruffle with spoke stitched edge. It closes at the back with two linen buttons and has hand stitched buttonholes. It's handmade with rayon, I did a burn test, but looks and feels like polished cotton. Research indicates that this fabric wasn't in use until the 1930s.
