Late 1930s Black Crepe Dress with Lace Insert Typewriter Material: ClayThis stunningly simple, yet glamorous evening gown probably dates from the late 1930s. Gathered and ruched to the side with a lace frill, the dress also has a delicate lace panel at the top of the bust line. There is another small gathered detail below the waist in the back of the gown, and a short slit 12. 5 inches 31. 5 cm from the bottom of the hem. The dress measures 53 inches 134. 5 cm long at the back and is secured with its original side zip.
