The outer wall of the glass bottle is carved with the pattern of cedar leaves by using a traditional technique called "Edo Kiriko". As shown in the third photo, the artisan was making the glass pattern on a wheeling machine. This photo was taken during our trip to HIROTA's glass studio in Sumida District of Tokyo.
