40's Red Fur and Wool Tilt Hat lacquered wood Disclaimer: Vintage shoes - especiallyThis is a vintage hat from the 1940s with a thick green wool felt military style hat trimmed with a reddish long fur. I unfortunately have not been able to identify what this fur is, but it's very dense red fur, with wiry black fur on the surface. It does shed some, but not much. This hat is a tilt style, and has a flap to the back where you'd use a stick pin to keep it on. My hair style was not suited to this hat, as it would look best with an up do.
