It appears to have been neatly shortened with a hand stitched tuck at thigh level - I originally thought it as a drop waisted detail

Very early 1940s (you can see the 30s influences) sweet satin wedding dress

and everything has been very well finished

There are some small breaks in the loose weave but nothing I would class as notable damage

with a deep ribbed waistband

In very good condition, I have cleaned by hand there are a couple of small marks to the reverse (gold) side and one near the edge, again on the reverse. Shown in pictures. Otherwise good and immediately wearable. Very smart! Looks rather Gucci.. Measures: Approx 21 square
