ON LAYAWAY Vintage late 1930s full length evening dress in oriental green and metallic printed cloqué fabric vintage display Lovely waterfall or stepped frontON LAYAWAY Late 1930s evening dress with floating side panels, over a relatively straight full length skirt relieved with cb kick pleat. Both skirt and panels are mounted on a light buckram to give additional structure and shape. Fine silk lining and unusual Art Deco embossed cloqu sateen fabric, possibly cotton. The print is done in metallic shades of reddish copper, gold, and silver, on a forest green ground. (I have cautiously steamed the dress,
