No pockets with front gathers and tapered ankles. Large side tag reads Chic, World's Best Fitting Jeans, Desert Denim. The smaller tag (which has fallen off) reads Chic Petite Misses Size 14, Regal Jean, 100% Cotton. Made in the USA. The Chic label became popular in the 1970's focusing on being proportioned to fit.
