The characteristic and deep black glass bottle was designed by a German glass manufacturer at the time. Due to the First World War, however, the whiskey was temporarily bottled in green bottles. Today Black Bottle is sold again in its old design. The classic blend combines Islay malts with Highland, Speyside and Lowland whiskeys, which are blended with mild grain
