Since her parents purchased the Drimnin property a few years earlier, this location was a good choice. Drimnin was also the originally planned name for the distillery. Ultimately, however, Mal decided on the name Nc'Nean, which is an abbreviation for Neachneohain, a ghost queen from Gaelic legends. Nc'Nean
