Known for its smoky whiskies, Bowmore is, however, one of the milder representatives of the island with about 35 ppm smoke content in the malt. The distillery is known not only for its bottlings but also for Vault No. 1 the only warehouse in Scotland located below sea level. Bowmore 15 Years matured in ex bourbon casks before receiving a finishing period in sherry
