Buzzing field

Anbauprojekt für eine artenreiche Zukunft

Organic farmer Erich Klas transforms one of his organic fields southwest of Munich into a bee field. He is sowing native and regional wildflower species and cultivated plants. This arable land will not be farmed otherwise for five years, because not all sown plants will flower in the first year. Similarly, the improvement of the soil (climate protection) and the development of food and nesting facilities for animals (species protection and biodiversity) require several years.
The scientific support (among others from the TU Munich) and effective public relations work make this project unique. Among other things, the field is supported by sponsorships. The project gives nature and the concerns of the sponsors a voice - for species and climate protection and for ecological change in agriculture.
