EVERY BOTTLE HELPS

With our products, we want to help to further improve the quality of life in Munich and beyond. That's why we support charitable projects in the areas of social, cultural and ecological issues with every bottle sold. We want to send a clear signal for democracy, a liveable and diverse society, equal opportunities and a careful treatment of our environment. In addition, we would also like to inspire the gastronomy, trade and other companies to become part of "Good Monaco" and also contribute to it.

Good Monaco stands for the responsibility that we as Aqua Monaco take on for our immediate surroundings, our products and our planet. A responsibility that we, as a contemporary brand, gladly and joyfully accept. We want to give something back to the community, enable creativity and diversity and work to protect nature.

Good Monaco is a platform that brings together initiatives, projects, cooperations and sponsorships that express our social, cultural and ecological commitment:

Social projects

Fighting poverty is especially important for us. Children, single parents, and the elderly are most affected by poverty. More than 10 % of children and senior citizens in Munich live below the poverty line. We want to help reduce these figures and support social initiatives dedicated to fighting poverty.

Bridge construction gUG

BrückenBauen is a non-profit nationwide trainer network for cultural education. Since September 2016, intercultural training formats for refugees have been offered here - specially designed to meet their needs. Fugitives usually lack the cultural preparation for life in Germany. The consequences are cultural misunderstandings, prejudices and rejection up to the emergence of parallel societies and discrimination. The goal and vision is accelerated integration through active involvement in social life and in the world of work in order to consolidate a common and well-functioning community of values.

People with their own history of migration or flight are used as cultural facilitators. They know both worlds - the German and the foreign - and can thus convey German culture to the refugees from their perspective and experience.

own life Festival - Better together!

Own life (part of the Marli Bossert Stiftung e.V.) enables old and young people to show their talents and heart's issues and to be two or more together instead of lonely. Own life organises events, networks like-minded people and brings the generations together. Because the best age is now!

In August, the Festival of Generations took place. Young and old discussed and celebrated together. The aim was to bring together people who had met during the Corona crisis in the virtual eigenleben.club ...you've met. The older generations are thus experiencing virtual networking and using the new social media for themselves.

Snow Kings e.V.

The association Schneekönige e.V. was founded in 2015. The aim of the association is to fulfill the wishes of the homeless or people living in emergency accommodation. This can be a new pair of glasses or a musical instrument, but also immaterial things, like a visit to the theatre or a restaurant. In this way, the association wants to give hope and courage to homeless people, treat them with respect and contribute to their integration into our society.

This is made possible by various cooperation partners, including the women's homeless shelters Karla 51 and Haus Agnes as well as the institutions Katholischen Männerfürsorgevereins and the AWO. The association collects urgently needed donations for this purpose.

Most of the panels were closed during Corona. Therefore KÖŞK, an initiative for young art, spontaneously started "Das Westend tafelt". With the help of volunteers, food was distributed free of charge to the needy for 42 days.
Thanks to numerous donations from, among others, Aqua Monaco, Augustiner Brauerei, District Committee 8, Initiative "Solidarity instead of Hamster Purchases", Ligsalz 8, Paulaner Group, Roomers Hotel Munich, Wohnungsgenossenschaft West, Solicity Munich, Pachmayr, Hamberger, Edith Haberland Wagner Foundation and Frauenwohnprojekt Westend, 10,000 warm meals were distributed.
While the guests gathered in the Lutheran Church of Resurrection in the West End, they were sweetened with music from the Monaco Jazz Club, carried by the fabulous acoustics of the church.

Table Jazz against Corona

In a joint action of Aqua Monaco, the Monaco Jazz Club e.V., KulturRaum München e.V. and Münchner Tafel, a special jazz happening was held on a Saturday in April for the waiting guests of Münchner Tafel at the wholesale market.

People could forget their worries about the wonderful jazz music of the Monaco Jazz Club for a while. There was music and laughter. In addition there were refreshing lemonades and water from Aqua Monaco. Generous sponsor of the musicians' fees for the day was Annette Kopp from Cada Schmuck.
"Everybody helps out. Local culture, generous donors, volunteers and Münchner Tafel helpers* go hand in hand once again. (Axel Schweiger from the Munich Dinner Table).

Icoya e.V.

Icoya (International Connection Of Young Artists) organizes "Street Art Camps" for children and young people in Munich during the school holidays. Workshops on breakdance, rapping, graffiti, capoeira, photography and design are offered.
The non-profit association wants to enable young people to let off steam creatively and collectively. Without conditions and limits. "We want to make art tangible for everyone, especially for children. Because art opens worlds. Even without words, you can find a common language with it, open horizons, form other perspectives".

The offer is particularly aimed at children from socially difficult neighbourhoods who rarely experience art. Icoya works together with youth centres, schools and community accommodation for refugees. They are financed by public and private grants and donations.

Buntkicktgut e.V.

buntkicktgut is the intercultural streetfootball league for children and young people from different cultural, social and national backgrounds. The project connects the young people in a playful way. With its many locations and 4500 members, buntkicktgut has been an outstanding pan-European project since 1997. Among other things because it promotes young people in summer and winter. There are more than 150 teams of "buntkicktgut" in Munich alone.

With the ball, the children and young people learn that mutual tolerance and fairness are the basis for peaceful interaction. They themselves steer the league - as players, in the league council, as buntkicker editors, referees or street football workers. The basic pillars of participation, integration and identification thus unite children from all over the world through football.

C.O.N. SONANZA e.V

C.O.N. SONANZA e.V. is an inclusive cultural and social project for children and young people. The non-profit association was founded in 2017 by Constanza Vagnini-Holbl, following the example of the well-known music program EL SISTEMA from Venezuela. C.O.N. SONANZA follows the approach of 'music as a life chance' with the aim of promoting social cohesion. Here, too, access to (musical) education depends strongly on the parental home

Children and young people from all socio-cultural backgrounds receive free training from dedicated international music teachers and a loan instrument for practice at home. From the very beginning, music is played in an orchestra, in which the different children become one big musical family. Fun and motivation are clearly noticeable, we could convince ourselves of this personally during an orchestra rehearsal.

Cultural projects

There is not a lot of room for experimental and innovative projects, even though they are essential to making our cultural offer more diverse. And there are still many people who do not have any access to cultural life at all. That is why we offer financial, conceptual, and material support for projects promoting cultural diversity and opening up cultural life for everyone.

The inspiration for this layman's exhibition, which was enriched by several professional artists*, came from Christian Morgenstern's "Conversation of a house snail with itself". A poem that clearly fits the current ambivalent emotional state of many people.

Robin Wood e.V.

Buzzing field

Organic farmer Erich Klas transforms one of his organic fields southwest of Munich into a bee field. He is sowing native and regional wildflower species and cultivated plants. This arable land will not be farmed otherwise for five years, because not all sown plants will flower in the first year. Similarly, the improvement of the soil (climate protection) and the development of food and nesting facilities for animals (species protection and biodiversity) require several years.
The scientific support (among others from the TU Munich) and effective public relations work make this project unique. Among other things, the field is supported by sponsorships. The project gives nature and the concerns of the sponsors a voice - for species and climate protection and for ecological change in agriculture.

PROVIEH e.V.

The conscious consumer stands for species-appropriate free-range husbandry and for the promotion of species-specific behaviour such as grazing, rooting and scratching. The offspring should grow up with the parent animals and live in a social association. PROVIEH stands up for precisely these animal rights and has been fighting for species-appropriate animal husbandry and sustainable agriculture since 1973.

In addition to projects such as the "cow plus calf" project, for cow-bound calf rearing, educational and political work make up an important part of PROVIEH. The association focuses its attention not only on adults but also on young people. PROVIEH accompanies school lessons and offers an "information booklet for pupils", which provides a first overview of the needs of our "useful" animals.

The foundation of PROVIEH is formed by donations and membership fees from private individuals and committed companies such as Aqua Monaco. Together we bring the "useful" animal protection forward!

Landesbund für Vogelschutz Bayern The Noah's Ark Fund

Land purchase is active nature conservation!

With its project "ARCHE NOAH FONDS", the "Landesbund für Vogelschutz Bayern" (LBV) is effectively committed to the protection of nature and animals.
In Bavaria, almost half of all animal and plant species are on the Red List. Since 1984, the LBV has been giving these endangered species new habitats! In the last 30 years, the FOND has been able to protect over 3,000 hectares - around 4,300 football pitches - through purchase and lease. Besides the purchase, the constant care and maintenance of the protected areas is also important. The LBV owes it to the FOND and its donors that these purchases were possible. For example, with only 30 Euros, 15 square meters of bog areas can be purchased and thus 1,050 kg of carbon can be stored.

From October 2018 to September 2019 alone, thanks to numerous donations, around 43 hectares of biotope areas with a total value of over 1 million euros were secured.
